Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday Challenge - Ransom Note

Hey Everyone!
Happy Friday! It's Frosted Designs   Fabulous Friday Challenge again! I am excited to be part of this fabulous team and share my project with all of you guys. Everyone on our team did a great job and I was super excited to see what everyone came up with. This week the challenge was Ransom Note. I interpreted that as using different type of fonts and colors. I decided to make a scrapbook layout this week. I have been working on my son's album for his Kindergarten year. This layout is of his class picture. I used several different fonts and welded the lettering together on my gypsy. I cut Kindergarten twice, once in blue and once in green. I then cut certain parts of the green away and layered on top of the blue lettering. For the ribbon I just added criss crossed them as if I were layering shoes. I like the simpleness of the layout since it is for my son's book.

Hope you enjoyed my layout now go check out my fellow DT members projects! Remember to link up your project to participate in our challenge. Joy's Life is our sponsor this week!

Happy crafting!

Frosted Designs - Fabulous Friday Challenge - Punches

Hey Everyone!

It's Fabulous Friday Challenge over at Frosted Designs today. This weeks challenge is Punches. So pull out some of those punches and start using them to create some awesome projects. I used a ribbon punch for my ribbon. I didn't loop my ribbon in every hole to give it a different look. I also used a small scallop border punch for the patterned paper. I made this card for my teacher's son to go along with a gift.

Ok so everyone link up your projects to be part of the random drawing for the prize. Our sponsor this week is Melody Ochoa: Close to my heart consultant.

Happy Crafting everyone and have a great Friday!

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday

Hey Everyone!

It's FRIDAY! You know what that means" It's Fabulous Friday Challenge over at Frosted Designs!! I am so excited because today is my first project with the Team. This weeks challenge is Tickets,Envelopes, and postage stamps. There is so much you can do with this challenge. I opted to do a card. When I heard of the challenge first thing I thought was a vintage postcard. So that is what I was going for. I used Kraft cardstock for the card The background paper is from recollections. The LUV on the stamps are actually stamped on the blue cardstock.

CARD RECIPE
Cartrdige: Sentimentals
Tickets: Jolee's Stickers
Ranger Inks: Antique Linen, Tea Dye
Ribbon: Michael's
Love Cardstock: Recollections
Sentiment: Scrappy Mom's Quirky Quotes
The mini envelope on my card was a little tricky and I had to play with the scoring for a little bit but I finally got it folded to a little tiny envelope to fit on the card. The stamp is from scrappy moms quirky quotes set.

So the sponsor this week is graphic 45.  I really hope you play along with us over at Frosted Designs. I really hope you enjoyed my project, thanks for stopping by and happy crafting. Make sure you link up your projects. Can't wait to see what everyone creates.

Have a Fabulous Friday!

Manly Anniversary Card

So my husband and I will be celebrating our 6th year anniversary in less than a month. As I was cleaning up my craft room, the idea for his card popped into my head. So of course I stopped cleaning and went right to work!
CARD RECIPE
Card Base 6x4
EK Success Edge Puncher (Sorry don't know the name)
Twine
Stamp: Technique Tuesday
Cartridge: Tie the Knot

Card Recipe

I am very pleased with how it came out. My husband doesn't like fussy cards and always says less is more. So I think he will really like this one. It took all my strength to not bedazzle the top of the card or put flowers on it....but hey it is a MAN CARD! lol That's what I kept telling myself.

Just by chance the sisterhood of crafters are having a challenge for anniversary's also. So I am entering my card there! If you would like to play along go here.

Thanks for stopping by.
